摘要： Mixtures, to be sprayed into the exhaust gases of an internal-combustion engine to produce coloured smokes, consists of a colour base of triphenylmethane dyes and a substance of a phenolic character and with or without an oil. The colour bases may be tetramethyldiaminotriphenyl carbinol, hexamethyltriaminotriphenyl carbinol or triamino-triphenyl carbinol, and the phenolic substance may be ester of salicyclic acid such as methyl salicylate.ALSO:Coloured smokes are produced by spraying a colour base of triphenylmethane dyes in contact with a substance of phenolic character, these substances preferably being sprayed as a mixture or separately into the exhaust gases of an internal-combustion engine. If desired an oil may also be used to give a denser smoke. The colour bases may be tetramethyldiaminotriphenylcarbinol, hexamethyltriamino - triphenyl carbinol or triamino-triphenyl carbinol, and the phenolic substance may be an ester of salicylic acid such as methyl salicylate. The smoke may be produced from aircraft, boats, land vehicles, or stationary installations.

摘要： A bi-layer, woven geotextile fabric has interwoven first and second layers. The first layer is over and under woven through the second layer in a pre-determined pattern so that the first layer has portions which face a first side of the second layer and portions which face a second side of the second layer. Monofilaments in the warp direction of the first layer have a pre-determined differential heat shrinkage characteristic that is greater than the monofilaments in the warp direction of the second layer. Closed cells defined by the pattern of the over and under weave are disposed on the first and second sides of the second layer. Shrinkage of the monofilaments in the warp direction of the first layer provide for a separation of a portion of the second layer from the first layer at the cells.

A recirculating/recycling valve, through which hot fluids may flow, has an additional port fitted to the valve body, which by positioning the handle in a singularly unique position, fluids not at the desired temperature are sent back to the source from which they came, to a recycling toilet tank system or to a recycling standpipe at atmospheric pressure.

摘要： A double layer woven fabric for use in various applications, including recreational applications such as pool covers. The fabric is formed by two layers of yarns secured together. At least one layer (and, in one embodiment, both layers) of yarns comprises at least two types of yarn of differing geometrical shapes that are preferably positioned alternately across the fabric. The yarns of one shape help to block sunlight while the yarns of the other shape help to ensure that open channels are formed through the fabric for water flow.
