摘要： A caller verification server receives a verification request message from a calling party via a data network. The verification request is associated with a communication from the calling party to a called device placed via a telephone network. The telephone network is logically separate from the data network. Thus, the verification request message travelling over the data network is said to be “out-of-band” relative to the telephone network. Responsive to receipt of the verification request message, the caller verification server generates a verification message indicating that the associated communication is verified as being from the calling party. The caller verification server sends the verification message to the called device via the data network.

摘要： A test meter for use win an analytical test strip for the determination of an analyte (such as glucose) in a bodily fluid sample (e.g., a whole blood sample) includes a test meter housing and a strip port connector. The test meter housing has a distal end with a strip port opening configured to receive the analytical test strip. The strip port connector is integrated with the distal end of the test meter housing and has a distal portion with an analytical test strip guide. The analytical test strip guide has an upper guide surface configured such that an analytical test strip received in the strip port opening is guided and supported by the upper guide surface and also has a liquid entrapment feature configured to direct free liquid that enters the strip port opening away from the upper guide surface and entrap such directed liquid in the distal portion of the strip port connector and/or the distal end of the test meter housing. The strip port connector also has a proximal portion disposed within the test meter housing with the proximal portion having an electrical connector pin configured for operable electrical contact with an analytical test strip received within the strip port opening.

摘要： A ball catcher is designed to stop balls that are the same size or different sizes at an inlet on a seat that is connected to a movable biased sleeve. Once the ball or other shaped object lands at the seat the flow around it increases differential pressure on the seat and sleeve and displaces them against the bias. The ball goes into a surrounding annular space and cannot exit. A preferably spiral sleeve guide the movement of the balls in the annular space so that efficient use of the annular space is made to maximize the number of balls that can be captured per unit length of the annular space. As soon as the ball enters the annular space the sleeve shifts back to the original position to stop the next ball at the inlet. Once in the annular space, the balls cannot escape if there is a flow reversal. The central passage remains open to pass other tools and flow.

The collar couples to standard duct pipe to extend ductwork to a heat pump portion of the hybrid water heater. A boost fan may be included in the system for boosting air flow to or from a remote location. The duct adapter system is adapted to deliver a warm air supply to the heat pump from the remote location, or deliver the cool discharge air from the heat pump water heater to a remote location.
