摘要： A leucocyte-separating filter is disclosed, which has a porous membrane having fine pores with substantially an oblong form of 3 to 30 mu m in average shorter diameter and a long diameter-to-short diameter ratio (average) of 1.5 or more. Leucocytes contained in a leucocyte suspension are collected without passing through the fine pores since the short diameter of the porous membrane is small enough, whereas since the pores have an oblong form, suspension-passing rate is comparatively great to effectively separate leucocytes. In addition, since matrix of the porous membrane is of a continuous structure, it is stable, and problems of run-off of foreign matters from the porous body or channeling of flow path during the procedure do not substantially arise.

摘要： A leucocyte-separating filter is disclosed, which comprises a polyvinyl formal porous body of a three-dimensional network continuous structure having continuous open pores of 5 to 60 mum in average pore size. Leucocytes contained in a leucocyte suspension can be effectively adsorbed onto the inside surface of pores and collected during the suspension being passed through complicated path of flow composed of the continuous open pores formed in the matrix of the porous body. Since the flow path in the filter is formed of porous matrix, a step of assembling a haemocyte-removing filter is conducted in an extremely simple manner, and scattering of the performance of products is few. In addition, since the porous matrix is of a continuous structure, it is stable, and problems of run-off of foreign matters from the porous body or channeling of flow path during the procedure substantially do not arise.

摘要： The blood component separator consists essentially of a housing equipped with a cell suspension inlet and a cell suspension outlet, and at least one filter material selected from the group consisting of woven fabrics and knitted fabrics of yarns obtained by twisting a plurality of fibers which do not substantially denature the cell suspension, and packed into the housing. Accordingly, even when the packing density of the filter material is increased, the cell suspension to be treated can be secured. Thus, the separator of the invention can be operated easily and has a highly efficient capturing and separation ability in terms of both quantity and time.
