    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a stack from printed products, enabling high productivity, and a device carrying out the method.
      SOLUTION: In this method, the printed products are continuously fed approximately perpendicularly to a stack supporting table 13, which is substantially horizontally extended, in a shingle stream 6 with use of a first conveyor 8, to form the stack 7 at least approximately vertically stacked one above the other. The stack 7 is conveyed on the stack supporting table 13 with use of a second conveyor 14 with a prescribed forwarding rate in a forwarding direction 12, while leading stack end 28 is supported by a coordinately operating supporting device 29. All of more than one printed products 2 with lower ends 3 in contact with the stack supporting table 13 are biased in the range of the lower ends 3 by a third conveyor 16. The end 3 is moved in the forwarding direction 12 of the stack 7 at least with a forwarding speed of the stack 7.

      SOLUTION: This is a method for producing adhesive-bound book blocks from gathered signatures (1) for which the individual signatures forming a non-bound book block (2) are supplied while positioned on the spine (3) on a transfer section (4) to an opened conveying clamp (5) on a perfect binder and are subsequently held while clamped in by the closed conveying clamp (5) along the flat outer surfaces (6). The gathered signatures (1) of a book block (2) are released in an additional conveying section (7) from the conveying clamp (5) in order to be aligned while guided. Prior to leaving the conveying section (7) for aligning the signatures (1), the signatures are clamped in once more by the conveying clamps (5) along the flat outer surfaces (6), so that they can be conveyed to further processing locations.
