    • The present invention relates to a device and a method for sharpening and cleaning a safety razor blade. The device comprises a polymer-based mat and either one or more polymer-based holding elements (21-24) for holding the safety razor blade in a fixed relationship with the device, or a pair of guiding tracks (4,4′) being arranged so that at least part of the polymer-based mat is arranged between said pair of guiding tracks. The guiding tracks and the polymer-based mat are arranged relative to each other in such a way that the guiding tracks define a maximum allowed penetration depth of the blades of the safety razor blade into the polymer-based mat. By applying the device and a method according to the present invention the lifetime of safety razor blades may be increased by a factor of up to five.

    • A device for treating a safety razor blade, including blades fixed between end portions of the safety razor blade, may include a polymer-based mat. The mat may include at least one substantially plane surface having an indentation hardness less than 50 measured on the Durometer Shore A scale. The mat may be coupled to a substantially rigid frame structure. The mat may sharpen and clean the blades when the safety razor blade is moved along the mat in a direction opposite to a normal shaving direction. The device may further include first and second sidewalls on first and second sides of the mat. The sidewalls may prevent the safety razor blade from sliding off the mat in a first direction when a user of the device is sliding the blades along the mat in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

    • An electroacoustic transducer comprising a magnetic circuit of a magnetically conductive material with a pair of opposed surfaces defining a gap there between, the magnetic circuit comprising one magnet. The magnet can either be positioned in the center of the magnetically conductive material so as to form two gaps. In an alternative embodiment the magnet is attached to the magnetic conductive material forming only one gap. The transducer further comprises a diaphragm and a coil system having electrically conducting paths fastened to the diaphragm. The coil system has portions of its paths situated in the gap. The transducer may be supplied with an additional diaphragm and coil system positioned on the opposite side of the magnetic circuit. In a preferred embodiment the transducer is rectangular. The transducer is suited for integration into miniature components such as mobile communication equipment and hearing aids. Embodiments of the transducer are suited for side-firing or side-shooting applications such as in mobile phones.

    • An electro-acoustic communications unit (10) such as a mobile telephone and a telephone handset or headset. The unit has a receiver transducer (12) generating sound signals from a first side (15) of the transducer, and the sound signals are output from the unit through one or more openings (17) in the housing (11). The transducer (12) is secured to a structure of the unit with its first side facing away from that structure. The transducer can thereby be placed at any desired location in the unit including in particular other structures than the housing wall, and a volume in the housing is included in the sound path from the transducer to the user's ear. The telephone can thus be very compact and still be leak-tolerant.
