    • A body composition analyzer using a bioelectric-impedance method includes a display unit for displaying measurement results including a weight and a body fat ratio, and a processor responsive to a user's input for causing the display means to display a part of the measurement results. In one embodiment, the display unit displays at least the body fat ratio, and the measurement result caused to be displayed by the processor is one of basal metabolism data, visceral fat data, muscle mass data, and bone mass data. The display unit displays an item selected from among the basal metabolism data, the visceral fat data, the muscle mass data, and the bone mass data if the item is designated by the user while the body fat ratio is being displayed, and then displays another item if that item is subsequently designated by the user. Thus, a main measurement result and a desired secondary measurement result can be viewed without waiting, and two or more desired secondary measurement results can be selected and viewed.

    • Disclosed is a living body measurement apparatus comprising: a plurality of electrodes; a current supplying unit; a voltage measurement unit; a switching unit; a controller unit; and a display unit, wherein said plurality of electrodes are each contact with each of parts of a living body, said current supplying unit supplies electric current to the electrodes, said voltage measurement unit measures electric voltage on the electrodes, said switching unit switches between the electrodes so that the electrodes to which the current is supplied and on which the voltage is measured are changed, said controller unit controls operation of the current supplying unit, the voltage measurement unit and the switching unit, and said display unit is connected to the controller unit and displays the measurement result. According to the present invention, said apparatus further comprises: a display item selection unit and a part-of-living body selection unit, whereby the measurement result selected by those two selection units is displayed on the display unit.

The apparatus comprises a bioelectric impedance measuring device; a dehydration condition judging unit; an judgement result displaying unit; an inform time determining unit; and an informing device. The bioelectric impedance measuring device supplies an alternating current to a body of a subject and measures a bioelectric impedance value. The dehydration condition judging unit judges a dehydration condition of the subject based on the measured bioelectric impedance value. The judgment result displaying unit displays the judged dehydration condition. The inform time determining unit determines an inform time. The informing device informs the subject at the determined inform time that it is time to measure the total amount of body water.
