摘要： A print monitoring apparatus for monitoring a print transported out of a printing unit comprises a defect position discrimination unit for discriminating a position of a defect on a print web of the print fed from the printing unit, a defect memory unit for storing defect position information given from the defect position discrimination unit and record information containing defect occurrence time, a number of successive occurrence pages, a roll paper name and a number of used pages, and a display unit for displaying the information stored in the defect memory unit. In another aspect, a print monitoring apparatus for monitoring a print transported out of a printing unit comprises a print defect detection unit for detecting defect on a print web of the print fed from the printing unit, the defect detection unit including a monitoring sensor for dividing a print surface of the print web into a plurality of pixels and converting information of pixels into electric signals representing density information of the respective pixels, a central processing unit for processing information data regarding the density information of the respective pixels from the print defect detection unit, and a defect content discrimination unit for discriminating defect content in accordance with information data from the central processing unit and preliminarily set reference for the discrimination.

摘要： A printing machine such as a rotary offset press includes a printed material monitoring apparatus comprising sensor units for detecting light reflected from a number of unit pixel domains which are divided in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which a print surface of a printed material flows, optical fiber units for transmitting light reflected from the unit pixel domains to the sensor units and a signal processing unit for processing signals transmitted from the sensor units. The sensor units comprise detection sensors each being equipped with a plurality of light reception elements corresponding to the unit pixel domains respectively. The light reception elements are arranged in a plurality of rows of a fixed amount in a direction in which the print surface of the printed material flows to form groups of fixed amount of rows in which the light reception elements are arranged. The signal processing unit comprises analog multiplexer for multiplexing analog information detected by each of the light reception elements in the groups in which the rows of the light reception elements are arranged and digital multiplexer for further digitizing and multiplexing the multiplexed analog information transmitted from each of the groups of the light reception elements.

摘要： A driving means 6 is placed below a photoconductor drum 2. The driving means 6 includes first to fourth developing rollers 13A-13D and toner storage chambers 11A-11D. The developing means 6 can be shifted by a developing-device moving motor 9 to bring one of the developing rollers 13A-13D which corresponds to one of liquid toners 12A-12D to be developed in close to the photoconductor drum 2, followed by developing a latent image formed by an exposure. At this time, the distance between one of the developing rollers 13A-13D and the photoconductor drum 2 can be appropriately adjusted. In addition, before the development, meniscus of the liquid toner is quickly formed between the developing rollers 13A-13D and the photoconductor drum 2 by rotating the development rollers 13A-13 at the rotation speed higher than the rotation speed thereof at the development.

摘要： In a printing machine of the type wherein the quantity of ink is adjusted by varying a gap between an inking roller and an adjusting piece there are provided an actual position representing unit which stores a data corresponding to a gap width, a reference position setting unit for the adjusting piece at which the ink does not leak out, a comparator comparing outputs of the actual position representing unit and the reference position setting unit, an inking roller rotating state judging unit which produces a stop signal when the inking roller stops, and a gate circuit responsive to the stop signal and the output of the comparator for moving the adjusting piece. The control circuit is constructed to maintain the adjusting piece at the reference position when the inking roller is stopped.
