    • A liquid crystal display (LCD) includes an LCD panel, a scan driver, a timing controller and a data driver. The LCD panel includes first and second pixel rows. The timing controller determines a correction voltage index according to an absolute difference between an average of original pixel voltages corresponding to original pixel data of all pixels of the first pixel row, and an average of original pixel voltages corresponding to original pixel data of all pixels of the second pixel row, determines a correction voltage according to the correction voltage index, determines an adjusted pixel voltage in a target pixel according to an original pixel voltage of the target pixel in the second pixel row and the correction voltage, and outputs adjusted pixel data corresponding to the adjusted pixel voltage. The data driver outputs the adjusted pixel voltage to the target pixel according to the adjusted pixel data.

    • A display has plural pixel groups each having plural color pixels. In a given frame that is divided into a first sub-period and a second sub-period, a first signal is provided in the first sub-period to a pixel of a given color in a first pixel group, and a second signal is provided to the pixel in the second sub-period. The first signal is set to one of a first polarity and a second polarity, and the second signal is set to one of the first polarity and second polarity, wherein the first signal and the second signal form a first sequence. A pixel of the given color in a second pixel group that is adjacent the first pixel group is driven with a second sequence of signals that is the same as the first sequence.

    • An overdriving apparatus including a frame state calculating unit, a white tracking unit, and an overdriving value generator is provided. The frame state calculating unit generates a frame state index according to a previous frame data and a current frame data. The white tracking unit coupled to the frame state calculating unit has pretilt white tracking tables. When the frame state index indicates that a current frame is a dynamic frame, the white tracking unit selects at least one of the pretilt white tracking tables according to the frame state index and finds color grayscales corresponding to the current frame data according to the selected pretilt white tracking table. The overdriving value generator coupled to the white tracking unit generates overdriving values corresponding to the current frame data according to the color grayscales and previous color grayscales.

    • A liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus includes a backlight module and a LCD module. The backlight module has a plurality of individually drivable backlight regions. The LCD module has a plurality of display blocks, each of which corresponds to one of the backlight regions and is disposed on an optical path of light emitted from the corresponding backlight regions. A power regulating module is electrically connected to the backlight module and the LCD module for receiving image frame data and controlling light-emitting intensities of the backlight regions in accordance with the image frame data to be displayed by the corresponding display blocks. Each backlight regions has multiple light-emitting units for emitting light in different colors. Each display block has a plurality of pixels, and each of the pixels has multiple filter units. A transmitted spectrum of each of the light-emitting units of the backlight regions corresponds to transmitted spectrums of at least two filter units of each of the pixels in the respective display blocks.
