    • A motor-vehicle latch assembly has a door latch displaceable between a locked and unlocked position, a housing forming a seat, a lever pivoted on the housing, and a linkage connected between the lever and the door latch for displacement of the latch between its positions by the lever. A lock cylinder can fit in the seat and with the lever and interengaging formations on the lever, housing, and cylinder retain the lever in a predetermined angular position on the housing except when the cylinder is fitted in the seat. The housing is centered on an axis and has an elastically deformable and axially rearwardly projecting tongue having a radially inwardly directed ramp surface. The lever projects radially from the housing and is formed with a radially outwardly open notch receiving the tongue in a predetermined angular position of the lever on the housing. The lock cylinder engages the ramp surface when fitted fully in the seat to deflect the tongue radially outward out of the notch so that until the cylinder is fitted to the seat the lever is prevented from rotating.

    • A motor-vehicle door-latch handle assembly has a mounting plate, an elongated handle having a rear end pivoted in the mounting plate and a front end formed with a horizontally and transversely projecting actuation arm having a hook end. The handle is pivotal on the plate between an inner position with the front end resting against the door and an outer position with the front end pulled horizontally out of the door. A coupling element is pivoted on the door about a horizontal axis and has one radially projecting coupling arm engageable with the hook end of the handle, another radially projecting coupling arm, and a radially projecting abutment formation. A link extends vertically between the other coupling arm and the latch so that when the handle is displaced into the outer position the element is pivoted and the link is displaced vertically to actuate the latch. A spring rotationally urges the coupling element such that the one coupling arm bears on the hook end and biases the handle into the inner position. A lever pivotal on the plate has one lever arm movable into and out of a blocking position angularly engaging the abutment formation and blocking rotation of the coupling element and inward movement of the one coupling arm and another lever arm. A holding pin displaceable on the door is engageable with the other lever arm for displacing the one lever arm into the freeing position.

    • A motor-vehicle door latch has a latching element movable between a latched position retaining a door bolt and an unlatched position releasing the door bolt, and a locking pawl engageable with the element and displaceable between a locked position retaining the latching element and an unlocked position freeing the element. A planetary-gear drive has a reversible electric motor, a sun gear rotatable by the motor, a planet carrier, at least one planet gear meshing with the sun gear and carried on the carrier, and a ring gear meshing with the planet gear. A locking lever is displaceable by a locking element and by the planet carrier between a locked position and an unlocked position and a coupling element is displaceable between a coupling position engaged between the locking pawl and locking lever for coupling the locking pawl and lever together. An antitheft element is displaceable by the ring gear between an antitheft-on position engageable with the coupling element and retaining same in the uncoupling position and an antitheft-off position. Structure coupled to the antitheft element arrests the planet carrier in the antitheft-on position of the antitheft element. A releasable coupling is provided between the antitheft element and the ring gear for joint movement of the antitheft element and ring gear. The locking lever coupled to the antitheft element displaces of the antitheft element from the antitheft-on position to the antitheft-off position by the locking lever when the locking lever is actuated with sufficient force to release the coupling.

    • A motor-vehicle door latch has a housing, a latching fork pivotal on the housing, and a release pawl pivotal on the housing between a latched position retaining the fork in a latched position engaged around a bolt and securing a motor-vehicle door closed and an unlatched position in which the fork can release the bolt and allow the door to open. An inside door handle can move between a center rest position, an end open position, and an end lock position. Mechanism between the second actuating lever and the pawl displaces the pawl into the unlatched position on displacement of the second actuating lever into the actuated position.
