摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-standing thin television and a display stand equipped with a mechanism capable of preventing the self-standing thin display from falling down with simple constitution without spoiling beauty.
SOLUTION: The television stand 10 for the self-standing thin television 1 has a recessed portion 24 where a support plate 4 of the thin television 1 is mounted between a gate type front frame body 11 and a gate type rear frame body 12, an insertion groove 25 into which a front-end portion 4a of the support plate 4 can be inserted is formed on a front horizontal plate 15 defining the front thereof, and a vertical through hole 26 which can be positioned at a screw hole 5 of the support plate 4 is formed in a bottom plate 23 defining the bottom of the recessed portion 24. The support plate 4 of the thin television 1 is put in the recessed portion 24 from above and the support plate 4 is placed on the bottom plate 23 while the front-end portion 4a is inserted into the insertion groove 25. Then the support plate 4 is fixed to the bottom plate 23 using a set screw 6 and a butterfly nut 7. The television stand 10 can be securely prevented from falling down by the engagement with the insertion groove 25 and the fixation by the set screw 6.
