    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved board-to-board electrical connector assembly for connecting two circuit boards. SOLUTION: The board-to-board electrical connector assembly connects the two circuit boards. The assembly includes a first connector having a low profile insulating housing including a mating face and a mounting face for mounting the connector on a first circuit board. A plurality of spaced mating posts project from the mating face of the housing. A second connector 14 has a low profile insulating housing 30 including a mating face 30a for mating with the mating face of the first connector and mounting faces 34a, 36a for mounting on a second circuit board. The insulating housing 30 of the second connector 14 includes a plurality of mating passages 56 in the mating face thereof for receiving the mating posts of the first connector.     • A cable connector comprising having a housing with an opening for receiving an end of a flat cable therein. The housing also has a plurality of terminal recesses, and a plurality of conductive terminals disposed in the recesses for connecting to conductive leads of the flat cable. The terminals are provided with solder connecting portions for adhering to conductive pads by soldering, and contact portions for contacting the flat cable conductive leads. The terminals recesses are at least partly defined by terminal holding walls confronting external surfaces of the terminals received therein, by broad width portions, and a cut-away portions formed between parts in the terminals holding walls, the parts facing the terminal solder connecting portions and contact portions, respectively.

    • A board-to board electrical connector assembly is provided for effecting a connection between two circuit boards. The assembly includes a first connector having a dielectric housing for mounting on a first circuit board. A plurality of first terminals are 5 mounted on the dielectric housing and each terminal includes a tail portion for connection to an appropriate circuit trace on the first circuit board and a convex contact portion defining a continuous arcuate contact surface. A second connector has a dielectric housing for mounting on a second circuit board.     • A card connector assembly for receiving a card member is provided with an eject device wherein the eject device is assembled directly onto the support frame of the card connector assembly to thereby reduce the number of components, the number of assembly steps and the resultant manufacturing costs of the connector assembly. The card connector assembly comprises a card guide portion (5a), a connector portion (9) to be connected to the card member, a support frame (3) continuous with both the card guide portion and the connector portion and an eject device (2). A part of the cam mechanism (10) is provided directly in the support frame (3).

    • A socket for a PGA package includes a planar insulative housing for mounting a plurality of terminals in grid array fashion. Each of the terminals has a solder tail projecting from one side surface of the insulative housing to be soldered to a printed circuit board. Each of the terminals includes a planar main portion extending in the direction of mounting to the insulative housing, an anchor portion for engaging with the insulative housing on side edges of the main body, a contact piece folded back into generally U-shaped configuration from a lower end of the main body and mutually opposing to the main body, and a solder tail extending toward the printed circuit board. The contact piece has a contact portion on an outside surface thereof for contacting with a pin of the PGA package.
