    • The invention realizes a method for controlling an electric cylinder and a control system for the cylinder that can prevent a load for pressurizing from significantly exceeding a target load and can shorten the time for the pressurization. A servo controller 17 can set the speed of the rod 11 and a load for stopping Ps that is used for determining whether the rod 11 should be stopped so that the load for pressurizing Pm does not significantly exceed the target load Pt. The servo controller 17 drives the rod 11 under the position control mode and determines whether the load for pressurizing Pm that is detected by a load detector 13 is bigger than or equal to the load for stopping Ps. If it determines that the load for pressurizing Pm is bigger than or equal to the load for stopping Ps, the servo controller 17 provides a reverse command pulse signal to a servo amplifier 16 and causes stored pulses in the servo amplifier 16 to decrease, to thereby stop the rod at the load that does not significantly exceed a target load Pt.

    • Provided is a multi-leaf spring-type vibration damping device capable of suppressing the resonance caused by rotations near the major critical speed of a rotating shaft system and suppressing self-excited vibrations due to rotations at or higher than the major critical speed of the rotating shaft system. In the multi-leaf spring-type vibration damping device, a bearing (9) of a rotating shaft system (6) that includes at least a rotating shaft (4) fit in the bearing and a rotor (5) mounted on the rotating shaft is clamped between a plurality of fixedly mounted and properly spaced-apart multi-leaf springs (11) at the portions near their distal ends, or the plurality of multi-leaf springs contact at those portions near the distal ends with the bearing, thereby to suppress the whirling vibrations of the bearing. The multi-leaf spring-type vibration damping device is characterized in that each multi-leaf spring is made into a multi-leaf spring unit (14) that has a double multi-leaf spring structure in which an auxiliary multi-leaf spring (13) having a structure substantially identical to that of the multi-leaf spring is faced and fixed at its portion near the proximal end of it to a portion near the proximal end of each multi-leaf spring through a spacer (12), and in which the distal end of the auxiliary multi-leaf spring is in advance forced in a direction opposite the multi-leaf spring so as to have a resilient force of a predetermined magnitude.

    • There are provided a dry aggregate mixture wherein the binder, even when heated, does not evolve unpleasant odor or gas hazardous to human health; a method of foundry molding wherein a space for foundry molding, up to minute portion thereof, can satisfactorily be filled with an aggregate mixture composed of a binder and granular aggregate; and a method of foundry molding wherein the mold used in molding of an aggregate mixture composed of a binder and granular aggregate can retain satisfactory properties even in high humidity. In the method of foundry molding, a mold is formed by the use of a dry mixture obtained by providing an aggregate mixture composed of granular aggregate, a water soluble binder and water and evaporating the water contained in the aggregate mixture through heating, pressure reduction or aeration while mixing so as to effect separation into single granules, or with the addition of a lubricant and a crosslinking agent thereto.
