Castors.-The attaching-plate of a sheet-metal roller-bearing castor, which is an improved form of that described in Specification No. 5884, A.D. 1906, is flanged so as to receive a channelled runway ring secured to the pintle, the rollers, guided by an inner runway ring, bearing between the runway ring and the wheel frame, which is held loosely upon the pintle. The attaching-plate 2, Fig. 3, is struck up so as to form two channels concentric with the pintle-hole as shown. An inverted outer cup, of shape corresponding to that of the attaching-plate, has side flanges 15 and an annular flat portion 11, which form a runway and bearing- surface for the stamped sheet-metal rollers 16. The pintle, Fig. 11, has secured firmly together upon it the attaching-plate and runway ring, by forming on it a heavy annular flange 25 seated against the boss 12. The inner runway cup 13 is then placed upon the pintle, the roller bearings being introduced between the two runway rings. The wheel frame is placed upon the projecting end of the pintle, which is upset round a washer 27 holding the parts in position and permitting movement of the wheel frame.

Castors.-In a furniture castor, an inverted cup 3 is secured to a long pintle 2 by a shoulder 14 which holds the cup against a flange 10 on the pintle. The shoulder 14 is formed by upsetting the end of the pintle after it has been placed through the cup, and a washer 13 may be employed when the castor is for heavy furniture. An inner cup 4, the wheel frame 6, and a washer 17 are then placed over the end of the pintle, and a shoulder 18 formed to keep them in position. A series of flat sheetmetal rollers 8 work in the annular runway between the cups 3, 4, and bear against the bottom of the cup 3 and the flat bearing-face 9 of the wheel frame 5.

摘要： An improved semiautomatic firearm is provided comprising as assembly which reduces the effort of cocking the firearm or loading a first cartridge. A spring tube contains an inner recoil spring which is employed only during cycling of the firearm when firing. For initial cocking purposes, the inner recoil spring is bypassed in favor of a lighter outer spring which is selectively engaged by the user. When the inner recoil spring is engaged, both inner and outer springs are employed without adversely affecting the recoil dynamics of the firearm.

A contact member coupled to the portion of the firearm, the elastic member, or combinations thereof, is movable between a first position in which movement of the portion of the firearm is biased by the elastic member and a second position in which movement of the portion of the firearm is generally unaffected by the elastic member. An actuator can be used to move the contact member between the first and second positions.

摘要： This invention is directed to a method for treating a host infected with hepatitis B comprising administering an effective amount of an anti-HBV biologically active 2′-deoxy-β-L-erythro-pentofuranonucleoside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof, wherein the 2′-deoxy-β-L-erythro-pentofuranonucleoside has the formula: wherein R is selected from the group consisting of H, straight chained, branched or cyclic alkyl, CO-alkyl, CO-aryl, CO-alkoxyalkyl, CO-aryloxyalkyl, CO-substituted aryl, alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl, aralkylsulfonyl, amino acid residue, mono, di, or triphosphate, or a phosphate derivative; and BASE is a purine or pyrimidine base which may be optionally substituted. The 2′-deoxy-β-L-erythro-pentofuranonucleoside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof may be administered either alone or in combination with another 2′-deoxy-β-L-erythro-pentofuranonucleoside or in combination with another anti-hepatitis B agent.
