    • A method comprises receiving a signal containing an environmental cue; correlating the environmental cue to a user interface control element; and generating a user interface control command based on the environmental cue. A device may be controlled by receiving a visual image, processing the image to identify a visual cue, correlating the visual cue with a user interface control, and controlling the device using the user interface control. The visual image may be received from a camera that is part of an automobile, and the user interface control may include a control for a radio to tune to a radio station; a speed control for controlling a speed of the automobile corresponding to a speed sign visual cue; or a navigation system control for controlling a navigation system based on traffic signs. Other variations include an apparatus and computer-readable media including instructions for performing the methods.

    • The invention relates to a processing of a data word in a plurality of processing cycles. In order to improve the efficiency of the processing, the data word is divided for each cycle into a plurality of successive data blocks. The blocks are shifted by one block from one cycle to the next. In each of the cycles, each of the successive blocks is processed in sequence. In the first cycle, the processing results for successive blocks are moreover stored in a memory at memory addresses which change uniformly from one processing result to the next. In each subsequent processing cycle, the processing results for the successive blocks of the subsequent cycle are combined with processing results stored in the memory during a preceding cycle at memory addresses which change uniformly from one processing result in the subsequent cycle to the next.

This invention responds to the noted deficiencies by providing a novel method, apparatus, and system for providing 4D (e.g., 3D+real-time) based approaches to allow users to view images or models of objects in real-time, offering users an opportunity to engage, access and interact with the objects depicted in real-time. The interaction may entail providing a user instruction as to how to complete a given task responsive to an identified problem. One or more objects may connect with a mobile/remote terminal based on application requirements and the like to facilitate such interaction and/or instruction.
