    • A method and arrangement for estimating a carrier frequency offset for a data transfer from a receiving system entity in a mobile communication network. A resource symbol phase offset θ 1 between two resource symbols representing the same user, is estimated (204) from the transformed user data, and a resource element phase offset θ 2 is between two resource blocks occupied by the same user is estimated (206) from the transformed user data. Finally the carrier frequency offset is estimated (208) based on the resource symbol phase offset θ 1 and the resource element phase offset θ 2 . By estimating a resource symbol phase offset θ 1 and a resource element phase offset θ 2 , an accurate carrier frequency offset with a larger range can be estimated.
