摘要： A narrowband interference cancellation system, method and digital signal processor is disclosed that removes narrowband interference in wide band communication systems. The system includes a narrowband processing component, wideband processing component, soft metric generator and at least one filter. The system is configured to receive a signal, identify one or more narrowband interferers in the received signal and filter out identified narrowband interferers. The narrowband processing component includes a filter bank configured to separate the received signal into a predetermined number of channel bands and identify a band with interference. The wide band processing component provides an average level for an unfiltered version of the received signal. The soft decision metric generator produces metrics based on predetermined thresholds. The filters receive coefficients that are determined using outputs from the soft decision metric generator that are first averaged using long term integrators and then stored in lookup tables.

Each floor may correspond to a media type having multiple media streams. The packet scheduler schedules data packets for a given duration, termed a scheduling window. The packet scheduler according to an embodiment of the invention adaptively changes the duration of the scheduling window based on the QoS requirements of data packets to be transmitted to and from the access point (215). In particular, the duration of the scheduling window is changed based on the delay requirement of the data packet having the most constraint QoS requirement.

摘要： A method and apparatus for mitigating the impact of lost data due to cell reselection for mobile stations operating in packet data transfer mode is described. A mobile station may perform cell reselection 2 to 4 times per minute when located in an urban area, even if the mobile station remains stationary. A mobile station moving through a communications network (100) may cross over various cell and routing area boundaries. Further, a mobile station operating in push-to-talk mode may lose up to 8 seconds of data when reselecting a cell in a new routing area. A serving cell transmits an information element (301, 303, 305) in which the mobile station is informed whether cells in its neighbor list are in the same routing area as its serving cell. If the radio link to the serving cell is acceptable then the mobile station avoids reselection to cells outside its serving cell routing area.
