摘要： There is provided a syringe assembly comprising a first, self contained cylindrical storage means (211) containing a first substance (212) and a second, self contained, cylindrical storage means (213) containing a second substance (214). The second storage means is slidably received by the first storage means and is adapted to pierce a slidable sealing element of the first storage means for mixing of the first and second substances in the first storage means. Axially driving the sealing element of the first storage means effects ejection of the resulting mixed substance from the syringe for delivery to a patient. There is also disclosed a syringe assembly with a safety sheath for covering a needle of the syringe when in an extended position and which is slidable from the extended position to a retracted position to expose the needle for use.

摘要： A rail alignment clamp assembly comprises (i) an alignment clamp 5 for holding, and adjusting the orientation of, an end of a rail to be welded, (ii) a separate attachment device 12,13, and (iii) a bracket 6 fixed to the clamp 5 and comprising a fixture 7,8,9 for enabling temporary attachment, using the separate attachment device 12,13, of the bracket 6, and thereby the clamp 5, to a railway sleeper. If the railway sleeper is made of concrete (figure 2), it includes a fitment (not shown), and the attachment device comprises a hooked bar 12 which is attached to the fitment at one end and is retained in a slot 8 within the fixture on the bracket 6 at its other end. Preferably, the hooked bar 12 is retained in the slot 8 by tightening a nut 11 which engages a collar 10 having a wedging surface which engages a further wedging surface on the slot 8. Alternatively, if the railway sleeper is made of wood, the attachment device comprises a further clamp 13 having a pair of chisel ends 15,16 and a connecting lug 17 located on the further clamp between the pair of chisel ends, the connecting lug being retained in a slot 7 within the fixture on the bracket 6 (see figure 4). The further clamp 13 preferably includes a nut 14 that is tightened so that the pair of chisel ends 15,16 are moved towards each other so that they dig into opposite sides of the sleeper.
