摘要： A fibre optic gyroscope of the Sagnac type is described, having - a light source (L), - a 3x3 coupler (123) constructed of three optically coupled optical fibres (1,2,3), which consist of an optical input fibre (1) which is connected to the light source (L) at its input end and to a light detector (D1) at its output end, and two optical fibres (2, 3) adjoining the optical input fibre (1), which are connected to in each case one end of an optical fibre coil (Sp) at the output end and at the other end of which a measuring detector (D2, D3) is in each case arranged, - a monitor detector (M) which detects the intensity of the light emitted at the light source (L), and - a control and evaluating unit (SAE) which determines the rate of rotation from the output signals of the individual detectors (D1, D2, D3, M). The device according to the invention is characterised by the fact that the control and evaluating unit controls the intensity and the centre-point wavelength of the light emitted by the light source (L) in such a manner that the ratio of the output signal (P1) of the light detector (D1) to the output signal (PM) of its monitor detector (M) is constant.
