摘要： An apparatus, system, method and computer program product are provided for generating a preview of one or more media files and/or collections of media files stored on a user's device, wherein the preview may be specifically designed to enable the user to quickly and easily recognize the media file and/or collection of media files. In particular, when a user requests to hear and/or view a preview of a collection of media files stored on his or her device, the user's device may first select which of the media files of the selected collection are most likely to be recognized by the user. The device may then determine which portion of those media files selected the user is most likely to quickly and easily recognize. The device may then combine the recognizable or representative portions of each of the recognizable or representative media files into a preview for outputting to the user.

摘要： A mobile station has a processor and a user input mechanism such as a button that is operable to cause the processor to extract at least one feature from a digital media sample. The feature, such as a spectral centroid, is descriptive of an identity of a content of the media sample. Preferably, the same user input that causes the feature extraction also causes a transmitter to establish a link and to send a message to a network address, the message having a plurality of extracted features from which the digital media sample may not be reconstructed. Where a reply message identifies a media file that matches the media sample, another user input at the same or a different button causes an authorization message to be sent so that a copy of the media file, identified in the reply message and having features that exactly match the plurality of extracted and transmitted features, is downloaded to the mobile station.

摘要： Disclosed is a method to deliver a set of song-related information to a terminal associated with a subscriber of a content provisioning system. The method includes establishing a subscriber profile for specifying at least a frequency at which the content provisioning system is to download to the subscriber at least one list of content, in the preferred invention at least one list of songs, that is updated in accordance with at least one criterion. The method further downloads the at least one song list to the terminal at a time that is based on the subscriber profile. Also disclosed is a content provisioning system, a network server and a terminal that operate in accordance with the method.

摘要： A radio station (1) transmits a radio programme using a VHF-FM singal which is received by a WAP-enabled mobile commnicaitons device (3). The signal includes radio datea service (RDS) data which includes the URL of a web-site associated with the radio station. The user accesses the web-page and participates in an opinion poll by casting a vote. The server logs the vote. The radio station counts the votes and announces the votes while the radio programme is still on air.

摘要： A broadcast radio event such as a song or a concert promotion, and a plurality of radio data fields corresponding to the event such as RTplus information, are received at a device. A user selects to display broadcast radio options simultaneous with receiving the broadcast radio event. Then is displayed a set of user-selectable options, at least one o which is derived from at least one of the radio data fields. In various embodiments, each time a new set of radio data fields are received, the set of displayed options is updated, with certain provisions to 'freeze' the displayed set of options. Examples of a derived option include a link to an Internet page, a phone number or email address, and posting a time and place of an advertised event to a calendar. A method, device, computer program product, and apparatus are detailed.

摘要： A computer program embodied in a computer readable medium in a mobile station MS includes instructions to display a first identifier, such as a song title, associated with a first media (music or video) file and a second identifier identified with a second media file. The first identifier indicates that the first media file is stored in the MS and the second identifier indicates that the file is not stored within the MS. Five such identifiers are disclosed, with functionality to up/download the media files one or more at a time from a PC or a networked server. Playlists and albums may be similarly indicated in their identifiers. The user is enabled to create and edit playlists on the MS without regard to what media files are stored on the MS. The MS may store file identifiers for the database maintained on the PC, a large-scale database maintained at a media service server, or a portion thereof. A mobile station is also described.
