摘要： An intra-body ultrasonic signal can be converted into a first electrical signal, a local oscillator signal can be generated in an implantable system. The first electrical signal and the local oscillator signal can be mixed in an implantable system, such as to generate a demodulated signal, processed, such as using a filter. The filtered, demodulated signal can be further processed, such as implantably determining a peak amplitude of the first portion of the demodulated signal received from the filter over a time interval, implantably generating a dynamic tracking threshold that starts at an amplitude proportional the first portion of the demodulated signal and exponentially decays over a time interval, and determining a noise floor in the absence of a received intra-body ultrasonic signal and implantably comparing the peak amplitude and the tracking threshold and generate the digital output based on the difference.

The housing resonates at the communication frequency, and a casing is coupled to the housing and disposed over the ultrasonic transducer. The casing is adapted to amplify the deformation of the ultrasonic transducer in a bending mode and transfer the bending moment to the housing. An implantable medical device comprising a housing having an upper portion and a lower portion. A first ultrasonic transducer is coupled to a first connection rod and is coaxial with the first connection rod. The first ultrasonic transducer and first connection rod are interposed between the upper and lower portions such that the first ultrasonic transducer is adapted to vibrate the upper and lower portions simultaneously. The system comprises a medical device that includes an implantable multi-axis heart sound sensor, operable to produce, for each of at least two nonparallel axes, an electrical signal representative of at least one heart sound, the heart sound associated with mechanical activity of a patient's heart. The device further includes a controller circuit coupled to the heart sound sensor. The controller circuit measures components of the heart sound that respectively correspond to each of the axes.
