摘要： This invention relates to apparatus for pivotally mounting a door, window or like closure in a frame, comprising at least a top and a bottom hinge construction, each having the appearance of a conventional hinge, but at least the top and the bottom constructions having substantially different pivotal means permitting adaption thereof for a number of relatively different functions. Each said pivotal means includes means defining at least a pin and a complementary recess adapted to locate relative to each other in such a manner as to permit relative departure of the recess from a position coaxial with said pin and relative rotation about a predetermined axis.

摘要： A gravity actuated hinged mounting for a door comprises two or more hinges which individually have the appearance of conventional butt hinges, but the several hinges in each mounting are individually different so that their respective pivot axes define the hinge axis of the door along a line which is inclined to the vertical. This result is accomplished by construction of the individual hinges to locate their respective knuckle portions in laterally spaced vertical planes and by constructing the complementary pivot members which connect each pair of knuckle portions to provide for relative rocking movement of the knuckle portions as the door swings on its inclined axis.

摘要： 1405260 Hinges K P MAERTIN and S C COMBS 7 Aug 1972 [11 Aug 1971 26 Aug 1971 26 Oct 1971] 36842/72 Heading E2F A door or window is mounted by means of two different hinges, the first 16, Fig. 2, is intended to take the horizontal component of force only and comprises a barrel-shaped pin 18 received in a cylindrical recess 17, and the second 22, Fig. 5, is intended to take the vertical component of force and comprises a pin 25 having a load-bearing surface at the end thereof engaging with a complementary loadbearing surface on the end wall of a cylindrical recess 26. The barrel-shaped surface may either be integrally formed on a pin 11 or be provided by a sleeve (21), Fig. 4 (not shown), fitted to the pin. The bore of the sleeve (21) may be eccentric with respect to the outer surface of the sleeve to facilitate adjustment of the hinge. The bore 17 may be provided with a cylindrical sleeve (20), Fig. 3 (not shown) which may also be provided with an eccentric bore. The combination of the hinge 16 and pivot assembly (22) is suitable for gravityoperated self-closing doors. In such a door the hinge and pivot assembly are offset from the door frame by bending the mounting plates thereof, Figures 7 and 8 (not shown). In an alternative embodiment, Figure 6 (not shown), the hinge taking the horizontal component is in the form of a knuckle joint, the central knuckle of which has a cylindrical bore (33) therethrough which accepts the barrel-shaped surface (37) of the pin.
