摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp with a transparent or translucent glass bulb having a tubular cross section and containing an inactive gas of neon, argon, krypton or the like.
SOLUTION: In this fluorescent lamp, a means to generate electric discharge in the bulb is provided, and visible light is emitted by supplying electric power to the coating of a phosphor applied on the inside surface of the glass bulb. At least one region uncoated by the phosphor is provided on the inside surface of the glass bulb. Therefore, an appearance having a repeating pattern such that the visible light is emitted by the phosphor but the visible light is not emitted from the at least one region uncoated is produced. The region uncoated define a spiraled pattern to the glass bulb such that when the glass bulb is rotated about the axis of the spiraled pattern, generally upwardly or downwardly motion is perceived by a person looking at the fluorescent lamp.
