摘要： Systems and techniques for determining in vivo mechanical load exerted on an implanted medical device (IMD) are described. The IMD or a device that has a substantially similar form factor as the IMD includes at least one mechanical stress sensor mechanically coupled to a housing or a component within the housing. In some examples, a patient parameter is determined based on a signal indicative of the in vivo mechanical load exerted on the IMD. In addition, in some examples, a processor determines whether a transient or cumulative mechanical load exerted on an IMD exceeded a predetermined threshold. A processor may additionally or alternatively determine whether a pattern in the mechanical loading of the IMD indicates a diversion from a manufacturing, shipping, storage or other handling process.

摘要： A filtering capacitor feedthrough assembly for an implantable active medical device is disclosed. The filtering capacitor feedthrough assembly includes a capacitor having an aperture, the capacitor is electrically grounded to an electrically conductive feedthrough ferrule or housing of the implantable active medical device. A terminal pin extends into the aperture and an electrically conductive continuous coil is disposed within the aperture and between the terminal pin and the capacitor. The electrically conductive continuous coil mechanically secures and electrically couples the terminal pin to the capacitor.

The custom implantable medical device may include a custom member that at least partially encapsulates a module of the IMD, or may include a custom housing that encloses a module of the IMD. The image of the head of the patient may include an image of a skull of the patient, an image of a scalp of the patient, or an image of vascular or neurological structures in the head of the patient.
