    • To remove generally solid matter from exhaust gases, especially soot from a combustion motor, the particles are washed out in a fluid which is cleaned and recirculated. The exhaust gas is fed through the fluid in fine bubbles, and the soiled fluid is pumped out and evaporated with simultaneous cooling of the exhaust gas, and condensed searately from the solids. The solid particles are dried by the exhaust gas energy flow, and blown out by compressed air. Also claimed is an assembly with an exhaust gas outlet tube at the gas washer (13) with at least one tube section (27) below the water level (26), with a number of drillings (28). At least one evaporator (15) is after the washer (13) in the fluid circuit (11), to evaporate the fluid (F) and dry the solid particles. A cooled supply tank (16) is between the evaporator (15) and the washer (13), where the fluid (F) condenses. A blower at the evaporator (15) directs solid particles to a collection vessel. Pref. the exhaust gas is fed in a curved path to the centre of the washer as a narrow stream directed at the water surface to beat against it and penetrate into the water, to give a water and gas mixture in a rotating swireling movement. The soiled water is pumped out to be evaporated and condensed, and the dried solids are ejected by compressed air for collection. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system gives a continuous cleaning action on exhaust gas, to remove solids, without filters which would need replacement and disposal.

    • The invention relates to a wet multi-plate clutch, in particular for automatic transmissions in motor vehicles, comprising annular clutch plates which are arranged in a clutch housing and are alternately subdivided into steel plates and friction disks. A radially external toothed section of the steel plates is positively connected to the clutch housing in the circumferential direction, while a radially internal toothed section of the friction disks is positively connected to a shaft or hub. The friction disks have grooves which discharge oil radially outward, and the steel plates have recesses. In order to reduce a potential drag moment when the multi-plate clutch is disengaged, the recesses (18, 20a to 20c) are incorporated into at least some of the teeth of the toothed section (14a) in a substantially radial direction outside the effective, annular frictional surfaces (14b) of the steel plates (14).
