    • A method, apparatus and software related product avoid UL interference in a victim LPN (20) such as femtocell using a discontinuous reception (DRX) by the LPN (20) coordinated with the UL discontinuous transmission (DTX) of UEs (22) to the LPN (20) and to one or more HPNs (27,28) such as NBs (or Home NB), e.g. in HSPA systems. The victim LPN (20) may start DRX having ON and OFF periods. Then the LPN (20) sends information about DRX to its UEs (LUEs 22) communicating with the LPN (20), and to one or more network elements such as aggressor HPNs' RNCs. The network element(s) are adapted to identify and configure aggressor UEs (HUEs 24,26) communicating with one or more HPNs (27,28) of the network for coordinating ON and OFF periods of the discontinuous reception by the LPN (20) with transmissions of the LUEs (22) and the HUEs (24,26) to avoid interference during the OFF periods of the DRX in the LPN (20).

    • In accordance with the exemplary embodiments of the invention there is at least a method, computer program, and apparatus for operating a receiver using at least four carriers to receive transport blocks from a transmitter, to compose a first codeword to acknowledge at least one of a reception and a lack of reception of individual transport blocks in a first part of the at least four carriers, to compose a second codeword to acknowledge at least one of a reception and a lack of reception of individual transport blocks in a second part of the at least four carriers, and to transmit the first codeword and the second codeword to the transmitter during one slot. In addition, there is operating a transmitter using at least four carriers to transmit transport blocks to a receiver, and receive a first codeword and a second codeword from the receiver in a single slot, where one codeword indicates at least one of a reception and a lack of reception of individual transport blocks in a first part of the at least four carriers, and where another codeword indicates at least one of a reception and a lack of reception of a second part of the at least four carriers by the receiver.
