摘要： Provided is a non-aqueous lithium secondary battery comprising an electrode assembly composed of a cathode, an anode, and a separator interposed between the cathode and anode, wherein the cathode and anode have an electrode material containing an active material applied on a current collector, a non-aqueous electrolyte containing a lithium salt, hydrophobic inactive-particles (also, referred to as "hydrophobic particles") included in the electrode material, and a battery case sealing all the constituent components. Upon adding hydrophobic inactive-particles to the electrode material in a non-aqueous lithium secondary battery, absorption and inflow of water into the electrode material during the battery production is effectively inhibited such as to prevent side reactions caused by water inside the battery, thereby exhibiting improvement in the high-temperature storage characteristics of the battery.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a high-power, large-capacity battery module including a plurality of battery cells or unit modules connected in series to each other such that the battery cells or the unit modules are stacked while being in tight contact with each other or being adjacent to each other, wherein the battery module is fixed such that the stacked state of the battery cells or the unit modules is maintained even when the volume of the battery cells or the unit modules changes at the time of charging and discharging the battery cells or the unit modules, and a portion of an electrode terminal connection region between the battery cells or between the unit modules is weak with respect to the volume expansion of the battery cells or the unit modules such that an expansion stress caused by the swelling of the battery cells is concentrated on the electrode terminal connection region, whereby the electrode terminal connection region is broken, and therefore, an electrical cut-off occurs at the electrode terminal connection region, when the swelling exceeds a predetermined value.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a plate-shaped secondary battery constructed in a structure in which an electrode assembly of a cathode/separator/anode structure is mounted in a battery case, and the battery case is sealed by thermal welding, wherein the secondary battery has at least one valve (one-way exhaust valve), having a small thickness, mounted at a sealed portion, formed at the outer circumference of an electrode assembly receiving part of the battery case, for allowing internal high-pressure gas to be exhausted out of a battery cell and preventing external gas from being introduced into the battery cell. The secondary battery according to the present invention has the effect of effectively exhausting internal high-pressure gas generated during the abnormal operation of the battery, such as overcharge, out of the battery case, while maintaining the sealability of the battery case, thereby simultaneously improving the efficiency and safety of the battery.

摘要： Provided is an anode material for an electrode mix comprising a carbon material and a lithium titanium oxide (LTO), wherein a ratio of an average particle size of LTO relative to that of the carbon material is in a range of 0.1 to 20%, and LTO is distributed mainly on a surface of the carbon material. The anode material of the present invention can prevent excessive formation of a SEI film, and is of a high capacity due to a high energy density and exhibits excellent output characteristics and rate characteristics.
