摘要： A wireless sensor network system and method includes: a plurality of network nodes, each network node comprising an interrogation and communication circuit, the interrogation and communication circuit comprising an RFID reader circuit, and a network node circuit; and a plurality of sets of passive RFID sensor tags, each RFID sensor tag comprising a sensor circuit and an RFID circuit, wherein the passive RFID sensor tags are deployed at monitoring locations of a structure to be monitored and each set of passive RFID sensor tags is communicatively coupled to a network node. The network may be configured such that a network node interrogates one or more of the passive RFID sensor tags within the set of passive RFID sensor tags communicatively coupled to the network node, receives sensor data from the interrogated tag or tags and communicates the sensor data to a remote location via a wireless mesh network.
