摘要： A method, a system, or an article of manufacture provides Mobility Management (MM), an update procedure, in a Core Network (CN) of a mobile communication system. The Mobile Station (MS) includes an indicator which defines an update type. The update type includes: all CN entities; one type of CN entity only. If the indicator has the update type of all CN entities, the MS registers all CN entities. If the indicator has the update type of one type of CN entity only, the MS registers the one type of CN entity only. The CN entities may be MSC/VLR CN entity, SGSN CN entity, or other CN entity. The method includes the MS determining to which of the CN entity to perform the update procedure; the MS updating the CN entity; the CN acknowledging the MS whether update is successful or failed; and the CN acknowledging the MS whether update of other CN entity is needed, if needed, the CN defining to which of the CN entity to perform update, and continuing the update of the defined CN entity. The MS does not have to know the services subscribed to a user, nor does the MS have to know the configuration of the CN.

摘要： The present invention relates to a mechanism for providing a connection from an packet-switched network to a circuit-switched network, such as a GSM network, wherein a temporary routing number for the circuit-switched network, such as an E.164 number, is delivered to a user terminal, and a circuit-switched call leg is established from the user terminal to the packet-switched network using the routing number. Thereby, a possibility is given e.g. to IMS network operators to provide IMS-services for end users which are located in the radio access network not having sufficient QoS required for voice over IP. In the example of a conference call service, a request for a conference call may forwarded via a data channel or data path to an application server (20) which provides that conference call service. The application server (20) then selects a conference routing number and returns the routing number to the conference host terminal via the data channel. Using the received conference routing number, the conference host terminal (15) can then set up a circuit-switched connection as a call leg of the conference call.

摘要： In order to enable an operator to control the subscriber's long distance carrier usage in a telecommunications network, a new subscriber-specific parameter, a locking parameter, is added to the subscriber data by the operator, in addition to a preferred long distance carrier access code. The locking parameter defines whether said subscriber is allowed to select the long distance carrier for the call or not. The locking parameter is checked each time the subscriber dials the long distance carrier access code during an originating call setup. In an embodiment of the invention, if the locking parameter indicates the subscriber is not allowed to select the long distance carrier, the call setup will be always terminated, preferably after making an announcement for informing the subscriber of the cause of the termination.
