摘要： Provided are a display apparatus and method for recognizing locations. The display apparatus recognizes a location, and communicates with an external device having a tag reader. The display apparatus includes a display unit; a plurality of tags disposed on the display unit, each tag having a different identification (ID); a location information storage unit in which location information of each tag is stored; and a control unit which determines a location of the external device by comparing the ID with the location information stored in the location information storage unit, if the tag ID recognized by the external device is received from the external device.
