    • A compressor includes a closed container, a compression element placed within the closed container, and a motor placed within the closed container to drive the compression element via a shaft. An integral structural part is formed by integrally assembling a compression element with a rotor via a shaft. The natural frequency of the integral structural part is larger than five times the maximum number of rotations of the compressor during its operation. A coil of a stator is provided in concentrated winding. A cylindrical-shaped rotor core of the rotor has a small-diameter portion and a large-diameter portion provided inside the rotor core. The shaft is fixed to the small-diameter portion of the rotor core. A bearing of the compression element is arranged to support the shaft and is inserted into the large-diameter portion of the rotor core, with the shaft being cantilevered by the bearing.

    • A compressor includes a compression mechanism, a motor coupled to the compression mechanism via a driving shaft, and a casing to accommodate the compression mechanism and the motor. The motor includes a stator, and a rotor disposed inside the stator and coupled to the driving shaft. The stator is spot-joined to the casing via a plurality of stator spot-joined portions at different positions along a circumferential direction about the driving shaft. Preferably, the stator spot-joined portions are disposed at different axial positions. Also, the stator spot-joined portions are preferably disposed at different circumferential positions from positions of compression mechanism-side spot-joined portions. When an accumulator is connected to the casing via a connection pipe, a straight line between any two of the plurality of stator spot-joined portions preferably crosses a vibration direction of a natural vibration mode of the accumulator.

    • A compressor includes a closed container and a compression element that are welded together at least three welding points. The closed container has a suction port with a suction tube fitted to the suction port of the closed container with the suction tube being arranged and configured to suck a refrigerant gas, and the suction tube has a central axis that lies in a plane which is orthogonal to the central axis of the closed container and that passes through the suction port. The welding points are arranged such that straight lines connecting all combinations of any two of the welding points are neither parallel to the central axis of the suction tube nor perpendicular to the central axis of the suction tube, to reduce vibrations of the suction tube that occur when vibrations of the motor are transmitted to the closed container.
