    • A method, apparatus and system for selectively stacking signals in a satellite delivery system is disclosed. A system in accordance with the present invention comprises a first set of satellite signals broadcast in a first frequency band, wherein the first set of satellite signals is downconverted to a first intermediate frequency (IF) band of signals, a second set of satellite signals broadcast in a second frequency band, wherein the second set of satellite signals is downconverted to a second IF band of signals and an inverted third IF band of signals, wherein the first IF band of signals, the second IF band of signals, and the inverted third IF band of signals are present in a combined IF signal on a cable, an upconverter, comprising a splitter, coupled to the cable, for dividing the combined IF signal, a first path, coupled to a first output of the splitter, for selectively passing the combined IF signal to an output of the upconverter, a second path, coupled to a second output of the splitter, for removing the first IF band of signals from the combined IF signal and for upconverting the first IF band of signals to the inverted third IF band of signals, a third path, coupled to the first output of the splitter, for selectively removing the third IF band of signals from the combined IF signal and subsequently diplexing the upconverted first IF band of signals with a remainder of the combined IF signal into a diplexed signal, the diplexed signal selectively delivered to the output of the upconverter, and a receiver, coupled to the upconverter, wherein the selection of the combined IF signal and the diplexed signal is made by the receiver.

A system in accordance with the present invention comprises a first stage of power regulation, coupled to the at least one receiver in a respective fashion, wherein the first stage of power regulation comprises linear regulation, and a second stage of power regulation, coupled between the first stage of power regulation and the LNBs, wherein the second stage of power regulation comprises a switching power regulator. Another embodiment of the present invention comprises a first stage of power regulation, coupled to the at least one receiver in a respective fashion, wherein the first stage of power regulation comprises a switching power regulator, and a second stage of power regulation, coupled between the first stage of power regulation and the LNBs, wherein the second stage of power regulation comprises a linear regulator.

    • Grounding block are provided for grounding a coaxial cable. The grounding block includes first and second block portions connected together such that the portions are movable between open and closed positions to receive a coaxial cable within a recess between the block portions. The block portions include cutting elements having a shape for penetrating an outer jacket of the cable to contact a shield layer thereof without cutting into a dielectric layer of the cable. A grounding wire is coupled to the grounding block for grounding the shield layer.

    • A method and apparatus for routing auxiliary signals, such as telephone land line signals from a telephone jack, to a remotely located electronic device, such as a satellite signal receiver, includes modifying coaxial cables used to connect the remote electronic device to another device such as a satellite antenna or multiple antennas, multi-switch box, by affixing auxiliary signal wires to lengths of coaxial cables. Ends of auxiliary wires at a downstream end of a modified coaxial cable adjacent to a remote electronic device are stripped and connected to a network port of that device, and ends of wires at a downstream end of modified cable closest to a network port such as a telephone jack are stripped and connected to the network port. Upstream ends of auxiliary signal wires at upstream ends of the two cables connected to an intermediate electronic device such as a satellite multi-switch box are stripped and connected together through bridging circuitry consisting of electrical connections to form a phone bridge for telephone network connections, or of electronic interface circuitry for Ethernet or other such networks.
