摘要： The motor-driven compressor includes a housing, a compression mechanism, a rotary shaft and an electric motor all disposed in the housing, a protective film and a fixing resin. The electric motor is adapted to rotate the rotary shaft thereby to drive the compression mechanism. The electric motor has a rotor fixed on the rotary shaft and a stator supported by the housing. The rotor has a permanent magnet and a magnet hole in which the permanent magnet is inserted. The magnet hole extends in an axial direction of the rotor. The protective film is formed on a surface of the permanent magnet for improving corrosion resistance of the permanent magnet. The fixing resin is filled in at least part of a gap between the permanent magnet and a wall of the magnet hole for fixing the permanent magnet to the wall of the magnet hole.

摘要： Outer circumference of a rotor is alternately provided with a plurality of circumferential portions and a plurality of convex portions. Straight lines each connecting a rotational axis to one of circumferential centers of circumferential portions are referred to as radial lines. Straight lines each bisecting one of convex portions are referred to as bisectors. A plurality of magnetic flux blocking regions are located on a rotor. One of the magnetic flux blocking region is located in a range between the radial line and the bisector adjacent to and preceding the radial line in the rotation direction. Therefore, a permanent magnet embedment rotating electric machine is capable of preventing decreases in torque and suppressing torque ripple.

The phase insulator insulates stator coils from each other. The phase insulator includes insulating sheet portions and bridge portions. The insulating sheet portions are disposed at both end portions of the stator core for insulating between the coil ends of the stator coils. The insulating sheet portions are made of a first material. The bridge portions connect the insulating sheet portions. The bridge portions are inserted in the slots of the stator core. The bridge portions are made of a second material. The second material has higher elastic characteristics than the first material.
