摘要： In a coding system wherein an error correction/detection coding is combined with a synchronization recovering technique using a synchronization code, the problems of a pseudo synchronization and a step out due to error detection are solved. There is provided a coding part 212 for coding an input multiplexed code string 201 to an error correcting/detecting code comprising an information bit and a check bit, and code string assembling part 213 for inserting a synchronization code into any one of a plurality of periodically predetermined synchronization code inserting positions in the code string 201, for arranging the information bit at an optional position in the code string, and for arranging the check bit at a position other than the synchronization code inserting positions in the code string 201 to assemble an output code string 205.

摘要： A reception processor converts an MXF file to internal content data pieces, and converts replacement caption data to internal caption data pieces and then stores the internal content data pieces and the internal caption data pieces in a memory. A separator separates a video data piece, an audio data piece and an ANC data piece from the internal content data piece received from the memory. When a caption replacer receives synchronously the internal caption data piece outputted from the memory and the ANC data piece outputted from the separator, the caption replacer replaces a caption data piece included in the ANC data piece with a replacement data piece in the internal caption data piece. Subsequently, the multiplexer multiplexes the video data piece and the audio data piece outputted from the separator, and the ANC data piece outputted from the caption replacer, and thus outputs an SDI signal.

摘要： A moving image playback apparatus capable of starting within a short time to play back reverse direction moving images is provided. The apparatus includes two decoders and one output buffer. In standby, using I-picture in a specified GOP as a reference, a controller causes a storage device to sequentially read first coded image data of the pictures in a first GOP preceding a specified GOP and the pictures up to I-picture in the specified GOP, and causes a first decoder to decode the first coded image data. Moreover, during the decoding of the first decoder, the controller causes the storage device to sequentially read second coded image data of the pictures in the specified GOP and the pictures up to I-picture in a second GOP following the specified GOP, and causes a second decoder to decode the second coded image data. Thereafter, the controller causes the outputs from the first and second decoders to be written to the output buffer. Thereby, the decoded image data are outputted from the output buffer immediately upon start of reverse playback, and moving images are played back.

摘要： An output coding apparatus includes a coder for coding an inputted bitstream to an error correction and/or detection code composed of information bits and check bits; and a bitstream assembling section for assembling an outputted bitstream by inserting a synchronization code at any one of a plurality of synchronization code insertion positions previously determined in the outputted bitstream, arranging the information bits at any desired positions of the bitstream, and by arranging the check bits at positions other than the synchronization code insertion positions in the bitstream. Therefore, when the coding apparatus is combined with a resynchronization method using both an error correction and/or detection code and a synchronization code, it is possible to solve a problem caused by pseudo-synchronization or synchronization-loss pull-out or step-out due to erroneous detection of the synchronization code.
