    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing screen display which causes a screen of a mobile electronic terminal to display an electronic map deformed into a form different from an actual land form along with a current location mark.SOLUTION: The method for processing screen display causes a screen 42 of a mobile electronic terminal 10 to display an electronic map deformed into a form different from the actual land form and a current location mark representing a location of the mobile electronic terminal 10. In the electronic map, the display ratio such as an aspect ratio is converted according to an aspect ratio of the screen 42, so that the map entire body is fitted into the screen 42 and the map entire body can be browsed without using a scroll function. After coordinate transformation is performed for matching a coordinate system included in the current location information acquired from a GPS, with a coordinate system of the electronic map displayed on the screen 42, the current location mark 60 is displayed at an appropriate location on the electronic map.

    • A fault detection unit detects a fault occurred in a detecting device which detects a rotational angle of a rotor with respect to a stator from sine and cosine wave signals having amplitudes modulated in a sinusoidal wave shape in a cycle of rotation of the rotor. The unit produces a judging value from the signals, judges occurrence of a fault from the value placed out of a normal range, and judges the device to be in a tentative fault state when the judgment is continued. After this judgment, when the rotational angle is changed over its entire range while the value is placed within the normal range, the unit judges the device to have returned to a normal state. In contrast, when the judgment is still continued, the unit judges the device to be in a determinate fault state and decides the occurrence of the fault.

The steering angle correction mechanism works to provide a correction steering angle to a steerable road wheel of a vehicle.
