    • PURPOSE:To obtain the desired foam without utilizing foaming agent by a method wherein molten bag-shape film extruded from the die of a first extruder is aspirated with the air and then applied with longitudinal and transversal linear-contact seals and, after being air-cooled, kneaded by means of a second extruder and then extruded into a suitable figure. CONSTITUTION:The molten bag-shape film 7 is extruded from the die 4 of the first extruder 1 and the air is blown into the film 7 through an air blowing pipe 5. After that, said bag-shape film 7 is transversely sealed at fixed intervals by means of a transversal seal rollers 9 during said film 7 is kept in plastic state. Next, the transversely sealed bags 7' are longitudinally sealed by means of a longitudinal seal roller 10 equipped with a plurality of discs 10' in order to realize film 7'', in which the air is sealed within lattice pattern cells. After being air-cooled, said film 7'' is kneaded in the second extruder 12 and extruded from a fishtail die 15 in order to become the foam 8''. In such a manner as mentioned above, the foam is obtained without utilizing foaming agent.

    • An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms a developer image on a recording medium using a developer, and a fixing unit that fixes the developer image to the recording medium.
