    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a sound of a photographer who operates a video camera and a sound of a subject while being separated from each other.SOLUTION: A microphone (a mic 1) having a rear directivity is installed behind a video camera, and a microphone (a mic 2) having a front directivity for recording a subject sound is installed in front of the video camera. All sound signals acquired by the mic 1 are considered to be originated from a noise arrived from behind the video camera. A noise cancellation circuit predicts a noise signal to be mixed into the mic 2 to generate a reverse-phase waveform of the noise signal. By superimposing the reverse-phase waveform on a sound signal waveform acquired by the mic 2, a sound waveform arrived from behind the video camera, such as a sound of a photographer and the like, is cancelled selectively.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for obtaining proper exposure by avoiding transient overexposure and underexposure, which are caused by a delay of an actuation of an automatic exposure control device of a video camera.SOLUTION: When the quantity of incident light into a solid-state image sensor is rapidly changed, proper exposure is obtained by transiently increasing/decreasing a frame rate and a shutter speed of an electronic shutter by magnitude commensurate with a rate of change of the quantity of incident light into the solid-state image sensor, according to a control signal generated on the basis of photometric data of an exposure meter built into a video camera, until an automatic exposure control device operates sufficiently.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reducing blur generated in the whole photographed image when photographing is performed while panning or tilting an imaging device in one direction.SOLUTION: When an imaging device is panned or tilted in one direction, an optical camera shake correction device operates so as to cancel the motion of a photographing device. A program is described so that, when the operation of the optical camera shake correction device becomes a certain amount, a position is made go back rapidly to the vicinity of the initial position in an opposite direction to restart a cancel operation. The optical camera shake correction device repeats this operation to intermittently produce a state equivalent to a state that the photographing is performed while holding the imaging device still. By putting only images photographed at that time together, blur generation caused by panning, tilting and camera shakes can be alleviated.
