The press (3) has a driving device for driving the movable plate (4) to approach and move away from the fixed plate (2); a pressure sensor (60) arranged at one of the movable plate (4) and the fixed plate (2) and measuring pressure in the chamber (80); and a control unit (61) for controlling the expressing filtration of the liquid by control of drive of the driving device on the basis of a signal outputted from the sensor (60).
