摘要： A polyethylene terephthalate resin composition comprising (A) 100 pts. by wt. of a polyethylene terephthalate resin prepared by polymerization using a germanium catalyst and containing at least 80 % of ethylene terephthalate repeating units and (B) 0.05 to 30 pts. by wt. of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of epoxy compounds each having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and not containing any ester linkage therein and carbodiimide compounds; and another resin composition obtained by adding (C) a fibrous reinforcement, (D) a block copolymer and/or (E) an inorganic nucleating agent to the above resin composition. These resin compositions are excellent in the resistance to moist heat, flow properties, and mechanical strengths. In particular, the addition of the components (D) and (E) enables high-cycle molding even at low mold temperature and makes it possible to provide molded articles having excellent surface properties.

摘要： A sheet of silicate glass having a thickness of 2 mm and composed mainly of SiO2 and containing Al2O3, B2O3, Na2O, F, etc., is immersed in a molten salt comprising a mixture of 50 mol % of silver nitrate and 50 mol % of sodium nitrate. Na ions in the surface of the glass are eluted, diffusing Ag ions in the molten salt into the glass. When a laser beam is applied to the glass substrate thus formed, the glass substrate is evaporated or ablated progressively from its surface. The glass substrate is processed to a smooth finish without causing cracking or breakage.

摘要： A flame-retardant resin composition which comprises 100 parts (by weight, the same applies hereinafter) of a resin comprising (A) a polycarbonate resin having a viscosity-average molecular weight of 16000 to 29000 and (B) a polyalkylene terephthalate resin at a weight ratio of 75/25 to 90/10, (C) 1 to 10 parts of a copolymer comprising a rubbery polymer and at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of aromatic vinyl monomers, vinyl cyanate monomers, acrylic acid, acrylic esters, methacrylic acid, methacrylic esters and maleimide monomers, (D) 2 to 10 parts of an organophosphorus flame retardant, (E) 0.05 to 2 parts of a fluororesin and (F) 0.01 to 10 parts of a halogen-free epoxy compound. The composition does not contain any halogen atom, exhibits excellent flame retardance, impact resistance, heat resistance, moldability, chemical resistance and heat discoloration resistance at a well-balanced state and is suppressed in the problem of silver streaking.

摘要： When a laser beam enters a phase mask, a +1st order diffracted light beam and a -1st order diffracted light beam are mainly emitted and a periodical light intensity distribution is established in the close vicinity of the emission side of the phase mask by the interference of those diffracted light beams. A glass substrate on which a thin film is formed is disposed in a region where the periodical intensity distribution is established. As a result, the thin film is selectively vaporized or abraded in accordance with the periodical light intensity and hence a diffraction grating which has the same period as the period of the light intensity is formed as a machined thin film on the glass substrate.
