    • The invention relates to a microwave heating technique, more particularly, to devices for heating dielectrics with the use of high frequency electromagnetic field, and namely to microwave ovens. In the microwave oven of the invention emanating system (8) is pursued as a compound system comprising a stationary subsystem (9) that can be similar to any emanating system conventionally used in available microwave ovens, and a replaceable subsystem (10) designed for a certain kind of food. Repleaceable subsystem (10) of emanating system (8) may include either one or a combination of replaceable elements of emanating system (8) taken from a set of replaceable elements that comes as accessory to the microwave oven of the invention. The latter provides a user with a simple means to vary voluntarily the distribution of the microwave energy in microwave cavity (3), in particular, to form a predetermined nonuniformity of the microwave energy distribution in microwave cavity (3), depending on individual properties of a particular food (7). For example, the use of horns (11) in a variety of shapes in the capacity of replaceable subsystem (10) allows in general to increase the microwave energy concentration in the paraxial area of microwave cavity (3), scatterers (20) help enhance concentration of microwave energy in food-holding plate (6) periphery, while distributing waveguides (21) allow a loss-free transfer of microwave energy to a desired section of microwave cavity (3). Making different combinations of replaceable elements of emanating system (8), the number of which may be quite large, allows a user to provide such a distribution of microwave energy in microwave cavity (3) that is favorable for cooking a particular food (7).
