    • Provided are a digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB)-based system and method of providing user-requested telematics content. The system includes a telematics terminal unit receiving and displaying a DMB signal and content loaded in the DMB signal and generating a request message for content requested by a user; a request information analysis unit analyzing the type of requested content based on the request message, acquiring the content requested by the user from a content provider, and storing the acquired content; and a DMB unit loading the acquired content in a DMB signal and transmitting the DMB signal to the user. The system and method provide a differentiated DMB data broadcasting service to a user. In addition, the system and method collect each request in relation to a limited bandwidth and allocate a broader bandwidth to a highly requested service, thereby controlling a transmission rate of each service. Hence, the limited bandwidth can be used more efficiently.
