摘要： The present invention relates to a fabric for an airbag, including polyester yarn, and particularly, to a polyester fabric for an airbag, including a polyester yarn with a toughness of 70 to 95 J/m3, said fabric having a toughness of 3.5 to 6.0 kJ/m3 and a tearing strength of 18 to 30 kgf, as measured by the D 2261 TONGUE method of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), to a method for manufacturing same, and to a vehicle airbag including same. The fabric for an airbag of the present invention may optimize the toughness and tearing strength of the fabric using a polyester yarn with a low modulus of high strength and elongation to provide excellent energy absorption performance and dimensional stability when an airbag is deployed, and may simultaneously provide excellent storability and air-shielding effects and minimize shocks imparted to a passenger to securely protect the passenger.

摘要： The present invention relates to a side curtain airbag and an airbag system comprising the same. The side curtain airbag according to the present invention comprises an inflating part (4a, b) having gas inflatability, a non-inflating part supporting the inflating part (4a, b), and an adhered part (2) constituting a boundary between the inflating part (4a, b) and the non-inflating part. The adhered part (2) is coated with a seam sealant (3) and sewed (5). The initial maximum pressure of the inflating part (4a, b) is 40 KPa or more when injecting a gas therein with an instant pressure of at least 10 bar, and the pressure after 6 seconds is 25 KPa or more. The side curtain airbag according to the present invention optimizes to apply the method of seam sealant coating (3) and sewing (5) on the adhered part (2) constituting a boundary between the inflating part (4a, b) and the non-inflating part. Thus, it can keep the internal gas pressure of the airbag to the extent of protecting passengers safely at rollover.

摘要： The present invention relates to a polyester yarn for fabric of an air bag, and more particularly, to a polyester yarn which has an elongation of 1.65% to 2.5% when heat-treated at 185°C for 2 minutes and tested with a tensile strength of 1.0g/d, and which can further elongate in the range of 0.5% to 5% when tested with a tensile strength ranging from 8.0g/d to a highest tensile strength. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the polyester yarn, and to fabric for an air bag produced from the polyester yarn. The polyester yarn of the present invention ensures a low initial modulus and superior mechanical properties. Therefore, an air bag produced from the fabric made of the polyester yarn of the present invention may be easily contained in a vehicle, may provide superior shape stability and air-blocking effect, and may minimize shock being applied to a passenger so as to safely protect the passenger.

The present invention also relates to a inflatable double-layered fabric including an inflating part having gas inflatability, a non-inflating part supporting the inflating part, and a co -woven part constituting a boundary between the inflating part and the non-inflating part, wherein the inflating part is composed of two separated fabric layers, and the non-inflating part includes a stepwise co-woven weave that is co-woven stepwise and alternately, and an airbag including the same. The present invention can block the gas leaking from the co-woven part effectively, when the airbag is inflated by the gas, to improve the perfomace for maintaing the internal pressure of the double-layered fabric.

摘要： The present invention relates to a polyester yarn which can be used in an airbag fabric, and, more particularly, relates to a polyester yarn which achieves a predetermined optimised range for: the room-temperature strength-elongation index (X0) which expresses the ratio (T0/S0) between the tensile strength (T0) and the tensile elongation (S0) of the yarn as measured at room temperature; and a first high-humidity strength-elongation index (X1) which expresses the ratio (T1/S1) between the tensile strength (T1) and the tensile elongation (S1) of the yarn as measured after a heat treatment at 85°C, 95±5 %RH, for 168 hours, and also relates to a production method for the polyester yarn and to an airbag fabric produced thereby. The polyester yarn of the present invention ensures a low initial modulus together with outstanding high-temperature and high-humidity mechanical properties, and hence when the polyester yarn is used as an airbag fabric it can provide outstanding stowability and shape stability together with an outstanding air-blocking effect while at the same time ensuring safe vehicle occupant protection by minimising impact on passengers.
