摘要： A projection device wherein plural pixel arrays (402, 404, 406) are situated on a single planar substrate (409). Relative differences in pixel array magnification can be compensated or corrected electronically, or pixel arrays of different sizes can be provided. Optical systems that image all the pixel arrays with a single projection lens (414) include one or more field lenses (417) configured to provide virtual images at optical distances from the projection lens so that projected images of the arrays appear to be in focus. In a prefered embodiment a pixel array at a centre of a set of arrays is associated with a positive field lens and a pixel array displaced from the centre pixel array is associated with a negative field lens.

摘要： Display systems(100) include a processor (104) that receives N-bit image data and extends the image data to correspond with N bits and a fractional bit by adding an offset associated with a selected range of correction values. The bit-extended image data is combined with correction values associated with display non-uniformities. The bit-extended, corrected data is delivered to a fractional DAC (112) that includes an N-bit DAC. The fractional DAC combines an N-bit DAC output with a voltage associated with an extension bit to produce an analog image signal.

An image signal value is applied to selected columns, and a column conductor voltage produced by application of the image signal value is measured. A comparator (111) switching time for the selected column can be estimated based on the column conductor (177) signal. A column correction value is based on the column conductor signal or the comparator (111) switching time. An active display evaluation system electrically measures comparator differences in one or more columns, and provides one or more display correction values or permits correction values to be revised based on current display properties.
