摘要： A material mixture in which pulverized iron oxide and a pulverized solid reducer are mixed with each other is put as it is in a powdery state into a reducing furnace to form a bed of a substantially uniform thickness. The bed is compressed in some cases, and the iron oxide is reduced at high temperature maintaining the temperature in the reducing furnace at not lower than 1100 DEG C. Since the material mixture has not to be lumped, for example, pelletized, the reduced iron manufacturing cost can be lowered. This method can be easily executed by the reduced iron manufacturing apparatus of the invention. A high-quality hot metal can be manufactured by charging high-temperature reduced iron obtained by this method into a vertical furnace or a smelting melt-reducing furnace, and melting the same with a high thermal efficiency.

摘要： A method for manufacturing reduced iron, wherein iron oxide in a pulverized state is subjected to high-temperature reduction. A mixture of pulverized iron oxide and a pulverized solid reducing agent are molded as iron plates, placed on a bed in a reducing furnace, and reduced at a constant temperature not lower than 1100 DEG C. Since the plate type molded product can be obtained only by molding a raw material mixture by a roller, so that the time required to process a raw material is very short as compared with that required for pelletizing process. A plate type molded product is placed on a bed via feed chute, and a drying step is not therefore required. This method can be carried out easily by the subject reduced iron manufacturing apparatus. When the reduced iron obtained by this method is introduced unter a high-temperature condition into a vertical furnace or a refining melt-reducing furnace and melted with a high thermal efficiency, a high-quality hot metal can be obtained.
