摘要： Disclosed is a washing machine and dryer having a condensation unit (700). A tub (200) is installed in a cabinet (100), and a drum is rotatably installed within the tub (200). A drying duct (610) has one end connected with an interior of the tub (200), and a condensation duct (710) connects the tub (200) with the drying duct (610). A cooling water supply unit (720) is provided in one side of the condensation duct (710) to supply cooling water supplied from an outside to the interior of the condensation duct (710). A cooling water dropping unit (750) collects the cooling water supplied to an interior of the condensation duct to drop the collected cooling water to the inner space of the condensation duct. A heater (620) heats air circulating the tub (200), the condensation duct (710), and the drying duct (610), and a circulation fan (800) circulates the air. A drain pump (500) discharges washing water in the tub (200) outside the cabinet (100). To dry laundry in the drum (300), the drum (300) rotates, the heater (620) and the circulation fan (800) operate, and cooling water is fed into the condensation duct (710) through the cooling water supply unit (720). Moist absorbing moisture while drying the laundry in the drum (300) exchanges heat with the cooling water dropped by a cooling water dropping unit (750) while being via the condensation duct (710), and is condensed to remove moisture, so that dry performance of the washing machine is enhanced.

摘要： The present invention discloses an improved door assembly and a washing machine and a dryer having the same applied thereto. The door assembly of the present invention includes a hinge assembly (150), a door body (200), a hook assembly (300), a lock assembly (400). Since, in the present invention, the hand hold formed in the door body (200) is recessed in an inner circumferential surface of the frame (210) so as not to be visible from an exterior, an outer appearance of the appliance is improved. Of components of the hook assembly (300), since the bracket (320) having a shaft (340) with a hook (310) inserted therein is formed as a unit with the bracket (320) on an inside thereof, with a reduced number of the hook assembly smaller than the related art, an assembly process can be simplified and productivity is improved. The lock assembly (400) provided to the cabinet (100) to hold the hook (310) includes a hook holding device and a locking device. The hook holding device holds the hook (310) by using an elastic force of the hook (310) when the hook (310) is inserted therein, and release the hook (310) when the hook (310) is drawn. The locking device, operative in response to an external electric signal, maintains the held state of the hook (310), for preventing the body (200) from being forcibly opened by an external force, thereby preventing occurrence of fault and accident caused by negligence of safety.

摘要： The present invention relates to a washing machine and dryer with an improved duct structure. A cabinet (100) forma an outer shell of the washing machine and dryer, and a tub (200) is installed within the cabinet (100). A drum (250) is rotatably installed within the tub (200). Since a drying duct (300) is installed in an upper portion of the tub (200) that is eccentric toward one side when viewed from the front of the tub (200), an internal space utilization of the cabinet (100) is enhanced and the equipment can be compact. The drying duct (300) is manufactured with two bodies that are a lower part (310) and an upper part (320) formed by extending a discharge part (330) from one end portion of the drying duct (300), so that the number of parts and the number of assemble processes are reduced and the productivity is improved. Since the discharge part (330) and the lower part (310) are formed in one body, it can prevent the damage and the air leakage, caused in a connection portion due to vibration, and the flowing noise caused by them. The discharge part (330) is extended to be slant in a rotation direction of the drum (250) and a guidance part is extended in a tangential direction with respect to a rotation direction of the drum (250) at one end portion of the discharge part (330), thus smoothly supplying air to the drum (250). A condensation duct (400) has one end connected to the drying duct (300) and the other end connected to an inside of the tub (200). A heater (800) is installed within the drying duct (300) and a circulation fan (350) is installed in the other end of the drying duct (300) to which the condensation duct is connected.
