The legs of the mounting angle, provided with threaded mounts, are positioned in a plane parallel to the rear wall and spaced at a distance therefrom. At least one external longitudinal side of a leg is provided with a recess for fixing a support strip which is firmly screwed in the area of the open side of the cabinet body. At least one threaded mount of every mounting angle is accessible by a boring in the rear wall of the cabinet body.

The contact bars extend to a connector side of the adapter housing and there form connectors for leads. The adapter housing has on its front a mounting bracket for mounting of installation devices.

Transverse panels and longitudinal panels are screw-fastened to the corner section mounting flanges so their outer surfaces are flush with the outer surfaces of the corner sections. Corner sections, transverse panels and longitudinal panels are adapted to be assembled and disassembled from the interior of the base structure. This base structure configuration ensures that any panel may be removed from bases upon which switch cabinets are mounted in rows of cabinets, and reinstalled without moving the switch cabinets.
