    • A variable tape feeder is provided. The variable tape feeder includes a frame having an accommodating section and a component feeding section on a transfer path that transfers a carrier tape having components packaged with a cover tape. Width adjusters for the transfer path, the accommodating section, and the component feeding section are installed respectively on the transfer path, accommodating section, and component feeding section to adjust widths thereof according to widths of the carrier tape, the accommodating section, and the component feeding section, respectively. Width sensors for the transfer path, the accommodating section, and the component feeding section detect widths adjustment of the transfer path, the accommodating section, and the component feeding section width adjusters, respectively. A controller outputs a response signal in response to signals detected by the respective sensors installed in the component feeding section and the accommodating section.

    • Provided are a tray feeder which provides parts to a part mounting device and parts providing method using the same. The tray feeder includes: a magazine which houses at least one tray for accommodating parts; an inserting/extracting member which inserts a tray into the magazine or extracts a tray from the magazine; a buffer member which is positioned above the magazine and supports a standby tray from which parts accommodated therein are to be mounted on a board by a part mounting device; and a feeding member which is positioned above the inserting/extracting member and provides a tray supported by the feeding member so that parts accommodated in the supported tray are adsorbed by the part mounting device, wherein the inserting/extracting member is elevated or lowered to insert a tray into the magazine or extract a tray from the magazine.

    • An apparatus for transmitting a packet in a wireless network includes: a delay time calculator for calculating an expected delay time to a destination based on the number of hops for a received packet to be transmitted to the destination and a channel access time; and a packet processor for discarding the received packet or inserting the received packet into a transmission queue according to a result of a comparison made between the expected delay time and a preset allowable value. The delay time calculator calculates the number of hops by a routing protocol used in the apparatus or by an analysis of a header portion of the received packet.
