摘要： An adsorbent fractionator directional flow control valve assembly includes two inlet valves, two exhaust valves, and a valve body. The valve assembly controls the directional flow of an influent gas mixture into one of two vertical desiccant tanks of an adsorbent fractionator, or desiccant dryer, and an effluent gas flowing in reverse through the opposite desiccant tank. The valve body is a single unitary piece, which may be a casting, and couples the inlet valves and the exhaust valves, which may be four identical valve subassemblies, providing flow communication between these and an inlet port, two exit ports, and an exhaust port.

摘要： A system for regenerating a desiccant bed having water adsorbed thereon to a desired moisture content comprising: a desiccant bed used to produce dry product gas having a first end and a second end; a source of feed gas, heated by a gas compression process fluidly connected to the desiccant bed wherein feed gas flows through the desiccant bed such that the heat present in the feed gas desorbs a portion of the moisture from the regenerating desiccant bed; and a source of cooling gas fluidly connected to the desiccant bed wherein the cooling gas flows through the desiccant bed in a closed loop such that moisture is desorbed from the bed as the desiccant bed cools and is carried back to the first end of the desiccant bed to provide additional cooling wherein moisture in the cooling gas is adsorbed.

摘要： A reflective surface behind an image to be scanned on an optical image scanner, copier, facsimile machine or similar device. Preferably, the reflective surface has a reflectance less than 90% with a preferred reflectance range of 60% to 75%. This reflective surface is substantially integral with the scanner, copier or facsimile lid surface and substantially reduces image bleed-through while resulting in an acceptable level of color shift and an acceptable loss of dynamic range relative to a white surface. In a second embodiment, the reflective surface is interchangeable by the end user in order to optimize the reflectance of the reflective surface for any given document to be scanned, copied, or faxed.
