摘要： Disclosed is a tape feeding, cutting and ejecting apparatus for a mailing machine which has a feed deck for feeding envelopes therealong and a postage meter for printing postage indicia on successive envelopes as they are fed along the feed deck. The tape feeding, cutting and ejecting apparatus is mounted in the mailing machine above the feed deck and adjacent to the postage meter on the side thereof opposite to the direction of the feed of envelopes for feeding successive finite lengths of tape to the postage meter for printing of postage indicia on a portion thereof and for cutting and ejecting the printed portion of the finite lengths of tape from the mailing machine. The apparatus includes a tape holding assembly and means for pivotally mounting the tape holding assembly for movement between a normal operating position and an operator accessible position to facilitate loading and threading of a fresh roll of tape. The apparatus also includes a sensing means for sensing when the tape holding assembly is not in the normal operating position and also when the tape supply is exhausted.

The emulsion may include a plurality of water droplets comprising microreactors. Each of the plurality of microreactors may include a single bead capable of capturing a nucleic acid template, a single species nucleic acid template and sufficient reagents to amplify the copy number of the nucleic acid template. The method also includes flowing the emulsion across a first temperature zone and a second lower temperature zone to thermally process the microreactors to amplify the nucleic acid template by polymerase chain reaction.

摘要： A stackable mushroom tray having a plurality of curved ribs that extend near but do not contact sidewalls of the tray. Open corner receptacles are formed at each corner of the tray to receive a spacer. Support feet are formed within each corner of the tray to receive a top surface of the spacer. Raised corrugations are placed between the curved ribs with a plurality of holes between the raised corrugations. A lip is formed around the perimeter of the sidewalls. The tray is preferably made of a composite material such as a plastic and fibrous material that can be easily molded. The structure and configuration of the tray permits a relatively thin walled tray to be used, yet is extremely rigid and can be stacked easily while maintaining lateral stability. The tray can be easily manufactured, relatively inexpensively, provides additional growing space, and requires virtually no assembly, greatly simplifying mushroom growing.
