    • A torque-limited fastener turnable in fastening and loosening directions for one-time use includes a fastener head with a base, a set of lugs extending from the base, and an optional set of ramps extending from the base. The lugs include abutment surfaces facing a fastening tool slot recess that receives a fastening tool. When the fastening tool is turned in the fastening direction it bears against the lug surfaces. The lugs shear off or plastically deform into recesses when the fastening tool applies a limiting fastening torque. The ramps have abutment surfaces facing a loosening tool slot recess that receives a loosening tool. The ramps cam the fastening tool over the ramp abutment surfaces if the fastening tool is in the fastening tool recess and is turned in the fastening direction after the lugs have sheared off or have plastically deformed in response to application of the limiting torque.

    • An electric connector assembly is provided having a housing with a chamber therein having an open end configured to receive a plug contact. The electric connector assembly includes a receptacle contact having a contact box on one end located in the chamber. The electrical connector has a contact pin on an opposite end extending from the chamber, and the contact box has a latch feature on a periphery thereof securing the contact box to the housing. The contact box has an open front end aligning with the open end of the chamber that is configured to receive a plug contact. The receptacle contact further includes a compliant section between the contact box and contact pin that is flexible to absorb vibrations introduced into the contact box and contact pin.

    • The electrical connector assembly of the present invention generally comprises an insulating housing (100), a plurality of retention clips (200) disposed in electrical contact receiving cavities (106) within the housing (100), a plurality of electrical contacts (400), and a spacer-cap (300) that is adapted to provide lead-in for a mating connector. Cavities (106) define, within the insulating housing (100), (i) at least two opposing longitudinal slots (120) having opposing recesses (126) and (ii) at least one ledge (130) that protrudes into the cavity (106) above the recesses (126). Retention clip (200) comprises a plurality of cantilevered spring members (204, 206) that project downwardly from an annular portion (202). A first pair of spring members (204) are disposed in opposing outwardly protruding relation to one another. Each of the spring members (204) further includes an outwardly protruding latch (232) disposed at its free end (230). Each latch (232) is adapted to releasably engage a shoulder (128) defined within the cavity's (106) longitudinal slot (120), when the retention clip (200) is positioned within the insulating housing (100). A second pair of spring members (206) is disposed in opposing inwardly protruding relation to one another on the annular portion (202). Each of the spring members (206) in the second pair includes an inwardly protruding latch (240)disposed at its free end (236). The latches (240) are adapted to releasably engage a groove (406) disposed on electrical contact (400) when the retention clip (200) is positioned within the insulating housing (100) and the electrical contact (400) is disposed within the cavity (106).
