Puzzles.-An amusement device, which may be used for advertising purposes, comprises a background furnished with pegs or projections and an object or objects in a number of parts, each of which is perforated or recessed to correspond with certain pegs or projections on the background so that it may be located in a predetermined position in the background. As shown, the objects may consist of alphabetical letters which are made from sheet metal and are divided into parts c. The background, which may consist of a board a, has arranged thereon groups of pegs b each lying within the confines of one of the letters the parts of which, when correctly assembled, spell the words of an advertisement. Each part of a letter has perforations d corresponding with the appropriate pegs on the background and it may be provided also with misleading perforations which do not receive any pegs. If desired, the pegs may be on the letters and the perforations on the background, or projections and recesses may be used instead of the pegs and perforations.

    • An outboard engine has a cowling defining an engine compartment, an internal combustion engine disposed at least in part in the engine compartment, a driveshaft operatively connected to the internal combustion engine, and one of a propeller and an impeller operatively connected to the driveshaft. The one of the propeller and the impeller rotates about an axis that is angled relative to the driveshaft. A device is disposed inside the engine compartment. A box is disposed outside the engine compartment and is operatively connected to the engine compartment. A line has a portion disposed inside the box and an end operatively connected to the device. An outboard engine having a box disposed outside the engine compartment and operatively connected to the bracket is also disclosed. A watercraft having the outboard engine is also disclosed.

    • An update management system provides access to software updates (patches and upgrades) and to an update catalog server. The catalog server includes a chronology generator. When a request for an update family tree for a target update is received, the chronology generator accesses an index to find the database and record number for the target update. The record is retrieved, indicating updates superseded by the target update and updates superseding the target update. Records for the superseded and superseding updates are, in turn, retrieved. The process is iterated until there are no further superseding and no superseded updates indicated. The succession relations indicated in the retrieved records are arranged into a family tree for the target patch. The family tree can be used (along with dependency data) to help determine an update for a given workstation that optimizes performance and compatibility.
